Hi everyone! Not sure if anyone has considered working with a trainer, but I started about two months ago and love it! The accountability and motivation is what I needed. I have lost more inches and feel more "in-shape" in these two months than I have in the last year of working out by myself. I had checked into PT at Urban Active, but it was out of my budget and the contract was longer than I was comfortable with. My trainer is great and very affordable. He offers a free orientation and workout, a nutrition plan, and does not require a contract. He trains at Fitness Factory, not the prettiest gym, but the membership is $12 a month (as much as eating lunch out once a month smile) and has everything you need to get into great shape! He can also train out of your home for for a little more per session.
If anyone has any questions, please let me know! Or you can contact him.

Hope everyone is doing well! Come on warm weather!! cool

I love the personal trainer aspect, but the price had always kept me away. I joined the Humana gym though and all the trainers are included in the $39 month price, plus you get your locker and laundry service included. I love it there. I agree that having trainer makes a huge difference.

Wow, that is a really good deal, I need to get a job at Humana. smile My trainer is pretty reasonable though. For a month for unlimited sessions it is $350 and then you can get just 10 sessions for $250, 12 sessions for $270, or 16 sessions for $320. I love the month unlimited, it keeps me motivated to go as much as I can to get my money worth. ha

The trainers at Humana don't train with you everyday, but whenever I want, they will get together with me, make a new routine, take measurements and show me how to do everything (this usually takes an hour or two). Plus they work there everyday so I can ask them questions whenever. I have one guy helping me with exercise and one girl who did her masters on weight loss look at my food journal and give me ideas. I love them. You don't have to work at Humana to join, but there are real limitations that if you don't work downtown make it not a good deal. It isn't open on weekends and only until 7pm on weeknights.

I talked to Mike Castellano Wednesday, March 17, 2010. The $12.00 a month is not the price he given me
the price was too expensive.

A year membership at Fitness Factory is $150 so if you break that out it is $12 a month, or you can do a month to month membership for $25 a month. Then training is separate from the gym membership. Still much more affordable for me than Urban or LAC.
