Fitness has become a very important part of my life in the past several months. I'd like to be around others who are working hard to take care of themselves in a similar way. Also looking for new ways to challenge myself physically.
Staying motivated, focused, and committed when life gets stressful and hectic. It's easy to take comfort in food and a nice bottle of wine instead...especially in the cold dark winter months.
I think it's much easier to stay on track and motivated when you surround yourself with others who are equally committed.
I love all kinds of exercise. Individual workouts like weight training, running, and spin class. However, I've found that I really thrive in group fitness classes. My inner competitiveness comes into play and motivates me to push myself.
I try very much to be aware of portion control. I suppose my biggest food weakness could be too many cheesy carby foods.
Because the group is so encouraging and supportive.
